The Stand Up for Steel Coalition (SUFS) is a labor/management committee formed in 1998 by the United Steelworkers (USW) and member integrated steel companies. The member companies now include AK Steel, Allegheny Technologies, Mittal Steel, Republic Engineered Products, United States Steel and WCI Steel.

The mission of SUFS is to develop effective strategies to deal with long-term trends in the steel industry including external forces and constraints that limit or impede the domestic steel industry from achieving sustained profitability; to contribute to and promote greater cooperation among the various labor and management segments of the steel industry in order to improve job security and economic development; and to assist employees and employers in solving problems of mutual concern that are not susceptible to resolution through collective bargaining.
